Tarragon is a drought tolerant herb related to sagebrush. It is a perennial to zones 4-9. It is used as a culinary herb and can grow to 60 inches tall. In late summer it develops white droopy flowers. It likes full sun to part shade. It is recommended to start Tarragon seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Press the herb seeds into the soil and lightly cover with soil. Keep moist until germination which is 14-60 days. Be patient.
