The fragrant flowers are a mix of cherry, rose, violet, and white and have delicate, long stamens that protrude out from the petals. Plants grow up to 5 feet tall and are drought tolerant once established. Suitable for cottage gardens and the back of the border. Sowing: Direct sow in late fall, planting the seed just below the surface of the soil; these spider plant seeds need light to germinate. For spring planting, mix the Cleome Hassleriana seed with moist sand and store it in the refrigerator for 30 days before direct sowing. Keep the soil evenly moist until germination, which should occur within 30-35 days.
