Its native range is from Texas to Columbia. All parts of this plant are poisonous if ingested. It grows all over the world. The only name for this one is Mranaha. AN older Datura in history. These seeds are from Unguja island in the Zanzibar archipelago. This species does not have thorns. It can grow to around 2-3 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide. The giant leaves are 12 inches across and approximately 10 inches long. The stems are purple and provide an excellent backdrop for the bright white flowers with picotee edges. It is in bloom from late spring until mid-summer. It prefers to grow in full sun to part shade with well-drained soil and average water needs. Zones 8-11 Germination Sow seeds on top of the soil and lightly tamp down and cover. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover with plastic and keep temperatures around 65-75F.
