You are bidding on about 25 OSAGE CREPE MYRTLE SEEDS - Lagerstroemia india x fauriei 'Osage' . ( see my other crepe myrtle varieties )No trees grow faster then crepe myrtles - 6 - 8 feet a year . A rarely seen cultivar. These pink crape myrtles produce 6” to 12” gorgeous clusters of light pink flowers that can last for many weeks or even months from July to September . The leaves of crape myrtles are a unique glossy red/green and the growth rate of a crape myrtle is incredible, these trees can create shoots of new growth of more than a foot in just a few short weeks. Its dark-brown bark peels to reveal extraordinary colors of chestnut , cinnamon and mahogany .Fall Color:Orange and red with hints of yellowZone: 6a to 10Mature Height: 12 to 15 ft.Mature Spread: 10 to 15 ft. Medicinal use of Crepe Myrtle: The stem bark is febrifuge, stimulant and styptic. The bark, flowers and leaves are considered to be hydrogogue and a drastic purgative. A paste of the flowers is applied externally to cuts and wounds. The root is astringent, detoxicant and diuretic. A decoction of the flowers is used in the treatment of colds.
