Test Japanese Minowase Radish (Raphanus sativus) Check out our other listings! Japanese Minowase, also known as Daikon, is an heirloom radish variety native to Japan. Plant produces large white roots that can grow up to 24 inches long and 3 inches wide. Flavor is mild, sweet, and crisp, making this an excellent radish to pickle, stir-fry, or steam, or to simply eat raw! Roots can keep for several weeks if stored in a cool, dry location. Direct sow about 2 months before the last expected fall frost. Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep and 1 inch apart in nutrient-rich, well tilled soil. After seedlings appear, thin to one plant every 4 to 6 inches. 45 days to maturity. Contact Us Don't hesitate to contact us via eBay messages if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
