Nearly round fruit average 7 to 8" in diameter and weight 7 to 10 lbs. Red-orange flesh is firm and great tasting with small dark-brown apple like seeds. Matures in 68 to 80 days. Sugar Baby, a 1959 heirloom, packs a lot of flavor in a small melon; this variety grows very well in the North, since it is one of the earliest melons available.
