The tomatoes are about 1 inch in diameter and have a sweet but acidic taste. You will need to stake these well as they will take over a large area if you don't.Plant cherry tomatoes in the spring after all threat of frost has passed. You can also start seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before your area's projected frost date and then plant the seedlings outside when they are at least six inches tall with 2-3 sets of true leaves.
