Gooseberryleaf Globemallow is a perennial to zones 3-8. It likes full sun and can grow to 30 inches tall. Once established, it needs very little water and is drought tolerant. It is a desert native to the American southwest, and it can grow into a bush that has many orange-red colored blooms in the spring. To grow, Pour 180° F water on the seeds in a bowl and then let it soak for 24 hours. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP OR THEY WILL NOT SPROUT. Afterward, in the spring, sow the seeds just below the soil surface at 40° F. Keep moist. They are very slow in germinating. This plant likes dry soil and it will tolerate sandy soils. 35 seeds per pkg.
