These seeds are from Chiranthodendron pentadactylon, also known as devils hand tree, and tree of little hands. This tree draws great interest because of the amazing bright red hand like blossoms which appear in late Spring or early Summer. The Latin name means five fingered hand flower tree. These trees can get very large in the best environments and in full sun. Some trees are up to 90 feet high. They can also grow in partial shade perfectly happy.
