Description: These Burning Bush plants are 20" tall but will be trimmed to 12" for easy shipping and to facilitate a fuller plant. Your plants will be dug when purchased and shipped bare root. The parent bush is a hardy ~30 year old bush that has always had a tremendous amount of color. The bush turns vivid red in the fall and last about one month. These seedlings will need planted immediately. They should be watered well and kept in partial shade and not in the afternoon sun for the 1st year. These shrubs will grow to about 15 feet, but can be trimmed to any size. They do well in full sun, but can also grow in moderate to full shade (shade will somewhat diminish their fall color). They can withstand the cold better than most ornamental shrubs. They are good for temperatures to -10 F. They require little to no maintenance and produce many seeds when mature. Beauty: This is a very interesting and symmetrical bush for your landscape. The fall color is magnificent. They can be uses as security around windows or for property lines.
