Beaumontia grandiflora is a vine in the Apocynaceae family. Some common names are Easter Lily Vine, Herald's Trumpet, and Nepal Trumpet Flower. A vigorous evergreen climber that can be great for covering a pergola or arch. It reaches 30 feet long with glossy leaves. It blooms in late spring to early fall. The trumpet-shaped blooms are 3-6 inches long and 4 inches wide, and very fragrant. It likes to grow in full sun to light shade with rich soil. It will require something to grow on and plenty of water and sun during the growing season for best results. In the winter, less water will be needed. When pruning is needed, do so after blooms are finished. Hardy to 28F. Zones 9-11 Germination Sow seeds the thickness of the seeds on top of the medium and lightly cover. Keep moist in a bright spot.
