Bauhinia acuminataDwarf White Orchid TreeSnowy Orchid Tree A small variety of bauhinia with the traditional heart shaped leaves and accented by snow white orchid like blooms. Widely cultivated as an ornamental and the hardiest of all bauhinias'. This semi evergreen can grow to 20 feet or a little more, growing more like a shrub than a tree, with branches that twist and ascend, drooping a little at the very end. This plant makes a most interesting deck plant and grows well as a container plant, in addition to being a specimen plant. Treat as a tropical that cannot tolerate frost. Fun Facts:1.
