24 Asparagus Fern Seeds (desiflorus sprengeri) harvested January 2024. When mature, these ferns are hardy, perennial plants that can be grown indoors as houseplants or outdoors as wonderful landscape plants and can grow up to 2-3 1/2 feet high and 3-4 feet wide - great for hanging baskets and patio planters or in border landscape plantings. Ferns grow in a mounded shape and they like medium to full sun - but can adapt to partial shade. They can tolerate moderately dry conditions of the summer. They also will tolerate cold temperatures into the 30s but cover if there is a hard freeze (mid 20s or lower). Seed germination takes about 3-5 weeks. We have had great success with Jiffy peat pellets. Plant the seeds, 1-2 per pellet, and keep them moist, but not soggy wet. Includes full easy and complete propagation instructions. Seeds come in a vintage style Rose Cottage Seed Company packet, a great gift for gardeners! Shipped with USPS First Class.
