Home grown naturally using regenerative growing methods with lots of love and zero chemicals, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers. The seeds are from my most recent harvest & are fresh viable seeds ready to sow. Growing Info & TipsThe heirloom wild Florida Everglades tomato is an indeterminate tomato that will continue to grow, flower and set fruit until killed off by a frost, growing well in Zones 6-11. It is a very heavy producer of tiny yummy tomatoes! Well adapted to the Florida heat & humidity it is resistant to the pests. It grows well in full Florida sun or part shade and is quite a vigorous grower often sprawling several feet if you let it, which can make for a yummy ground cover, often times self seeding. A wonderful addition to any garden/food forest! For Sowing the Everglades Tomato Seeds: Everglades Tomato seeds need the temperature to be consistently in the 70-80 degree range to germinate. Seeds can be sown directly in the ground or in pots or seed starting trays. Sow the seeds close to the surface, around 1/4th of an inch deep (lightly covering them) in pre-moistened potting mix. Light aids in their germination. Everglades Tomato seeds can take up to 7-21 days to germinate so be patient! Keep the soil moist but well drained. Ideal spacing is 18” apart. It’s roughly 70 days to maturity when you will have yummy tomatoes to enjoy. UsesEverglades Tomatoes are a yummy snack to enjoy while you’re working in the garden. Their bite sized sweet tomato flavor is so refreshing! They have very tender skin so when picking for later use it’s easiest to harvest them by the bunch. We love to use them our salads, homemade salsas, in tofu or egg scrambles, in garam masala curry, and as toppings for black bean tacos and various other dishes! Please Note: All of my seeds are fresh and viable. Growing plants from seeds is fun! The majority of the time it is a success but sometimes it’s not. This just is the way it is with nature and gardening. I hope you experience success with all the seeds, however because I am not there to plant them, I cannot be responsible for germination failure due to improper planting or climate conditions etc. I do include a detailed note with planting advice with your order to help ensure your success. Broadleaf Plantain 200 SEEDS – Plantago Major Common Plantain- Perennial Herb

You will receive a packet of 200 Seeds from our Broadleaf Plantain / Plantago Major plants growing in sunny Florida. Home grown naturally using regenerative methods with lots of love and zero chemicals, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. The seeds are from our most recent harvest and are fresh viable seeds ready to sow. Growing Info & TipsPlantago major, commonly known as Broadleaf Plantain, is an herbal ally from the Plantaginaceae family. It lives as a perennial, and once established, Plantain can be harvested at any time of the year. It grows low to the ground in a rosette cluster of oval-shaped, veiny leaves. It blooms a single spike of tiny compact, cream-colored flowers from spring through fall. It grows to a height of no more than five inches at maturity. Here in Florida, I find that Plantain prefers partial shade and can grow in a variety of soils, from rocky to sandy. Plantain seeds are best grown directly outside by sowing in early to mid-spring after the last frost has passed. Seeds should be scattered directly over prepared soil in the ground or in a pot with potting soil. Germination normally takes 7-14 days. The leaves can be harvested for use 30 days after the first plants sprout from the soil. Uses and PreparationPlantago Major has several homeopathic uses and is highly nutritious. The young, tender leaves can be eaten raw, and the older, stringier leaves can be boiled in soups or stews. You can also make tea from the leaves. Please do your own research before using and consuming. Please Note: All of my seeds are fresh and viable. Growing plants from seeds is fun!
