The Tamopan Persimmon is self-pollinating and typically ripens in November. It is suitable for Zones 7-9. This tree requires less than 200 chilling hours below 45°F. ✅ The skin of this persimmon is shiny and reddish-orange. The fruit is extra-large, featuring an acorn-like cap. It is excellent for cooking whether firm or soft. The upright tree grows to 20-30 feet in height and spreads 18-25 feet. In autumn, its brilliant red-orange foliage adds vibrancy to the landscape.
