You can also directly sow your seeds into the ground after the last frost when the soil has become workable.WHERE TO PLANT COREOPSISWhether you are transplanting or directly sowing, choose a well lit area with well-draining soil. HOW TO PLANT COREOPSISOnce all weeds are removed, plant your Coreopsis seeds 1/2″ deep and lightly cover them with soil or lightly press them in. These seeds need sunlight to germinate so make sure you don’t fully cover them. If transplanting, dig a hole big enough to engulf the root ball and surround with fertile soil. The top of the root ball should be level with the ground.
