Drosera spatulata “Ahipara Gumfields, NZ” Carnivorous Plant Seeds

The New Zealand forms of “spatulata” are likely best considered different species, as they are genetically and morphologically very different from the rest of the species, and are quite uncommon in cultivation. This form only reaches maybe an inch across, with flat rosettes of leaves with distinctive and fuzzy petioles and oblong lamina, usually staying green but can blush orange-ish or reddish under strong light. Flower stalks are tall and wiry, bearing tiny white, self-pollinating blooms. Somewhat cold-tolerant but not true temperates, they prefer cool growing conditions and can be slow to germinate. Packets contain approx. 30+ seeds each. Seeds are shipped padded in either standard mail or padded envelopes via USPS. US shipping only, and shipping options with tracking and insurance must be chosen in order to qualify for replacement guarantees should mail become lost in transit; during holiday seasons, Padded First Class or Priority shipping options are recommended to ward against lost mail. Seeds can take time and in some cases special treatment in order to germinate; returns are not accepted, and refunds cannot be given upon receipt of the seed packets. If multiple items are bought at once or special requests for shipping additions not included in the options selected (tracking, insurance, etc.), PLEASE MESSAGE FOR INVOICE TOTALS BEFORE FINALIZING A PURCHASE AND PAYING IF NOT AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED. COMBINED SHIPPING CANNOT BE OFFERED IF PAYMENT IS RECEIVED BEFORE A REQUEST; ADDITIONAL ITEMS MAY BE GIVEN INSTEAD.

Drosera oblanceolata “Sunset Peak” Seeds, Carnivorous Sundew Plant

The true species, from the Hong Kong region of eastern Asia. This species tends to go through two growth forms, one a relatively short rosette of hairy petioles and slender ovular lamina only an inch or two across. The other, particularly in cooler conditions, is a semi-erect rosette up to almost 4 inches across with much more elongate petioles and teardrop shaped lamina. Coloration readily flushes red in strong light, and very thin, wiry flower stalks will bear several large, pale pink blooms with very rounded petals. Does best in cooler, very sunny conditions, but is adaptable.Packets contain 20-30+ seeds each. Seeds are shipped padded in either standard mail or padded envelopes via USPS. Drosera spatulata Ivan s 3-Way Australian Form Seeds, Carnivorous Plant

This complex cross was produced by Ivan Snyder, a 3-way hybrid between the Wentworth Falls, Woronorra River, and var. gympiensis forms of spatulata from Australia. The result is a squat form rarely more than an inch and a half across with flat, tapered leaves that will flush red in good light. Flower stalks are short, sometimes bear sparse hairs amongst the short glands on them, and produce flowers that are large relative to the plant and are most commonly rich magenta-pink, but white-flowered versions may also appear due to the complex parentage. Seeds require no special treatment, but may take some time to germinate.Packets contain approx. 30+ seeds each. Seeds are shipped padded in either standard mail or padded envelopes via USPS.
