These seeds are Non-Gmo heirloom organically grown in our family seed garden in Kansas, USA from Boston Pickling Cucumber organic seeds. Our seed garden is 100% organic and we use ONLY rainwater for irrigation (no chlorinated tap water), just as mother nature intended! 
We have been growing this same variety for several years and they are very acclimatized to USDA zone 6. 
Boston pickling cucumbers are our favorite cukes!! They are great for eating fresh, pickling, fermenting and more! We really love them for making European style fermented pickles! MMMMM YUMMY!!

Seed germination is highly dependent on the experience of the grower, soil type, soil condition, soil temperature, soil moisture, weather, weed mitigation, wild animal browse and many other factors we cannot control. All seeds are hand-sorted. I grow them carefully using organic fertilizers (compost) only. I take the seeds out of the cucumber only close to the stalk. These seeds are in conditions of better nutrition and aging. Boston Pickling Cucumber is a very old (first documented in 1877) reliable pickling cucumber that was “improved” sometime in the 1950s giving it resistance to cucumber mosaic virus and cucumber scale. 1883 Joseph Breck & Son seed company of Boston says about Boston Pickling Cucumber… “Extensively grown by the market gardeners in the vicinity of Boston. It is very productive and of superior color and quality.” 1924 Portland Seed Company catalog says about Boston Pickling Cucumber… “Color, bright green, and a great producer. The fruits average 4 to 5 inches in length when large enough for slicing and are of excellent quality, but it is for producing medium sized pickles that this variety is so highly esteemed.” Based on my extensive experience of growing different varieties of cucumbers, I can say this variety is one of the best on the market! Matures: 56-58 days. Fruit: 4-5 inches long. Perfect for eating fresh from the harvest and for canning as well! I highly recommend to top the plant (cut off) after the fifth or sixth leaf !
