NEW CROP Organic Perilla seeds dried in flower pod clusters. Each flower pod contains 3-4 seeds. Our perilla bushes were grown in organic conditions with no pesticides. Tended and harvested by hand before the first frost of this year. A cluster of 20 flower pods has approx 60-80 viable seeds. On average, there are 75 viable seeds. A cluster of 40 flower pods has approx 120-160 viable seeds. On average, there are 150 viable seeds. Sold in clusters of 20 pods. If you would like larger clusters, please increase quantity and we will ship altogether accordingly. We also have loose seeds freed from the flower pods. Approx 1000-1100 viable seeds per pack. We will only ship fully grown seeds. The perilla leaves can be harvested all summer long. The minty fragrance repels most pests. The more you harvest, the bushier the plant becomes. Eat in salads, pickled in soy sauce and wrapped around gamey and fatty meats.

Plant seeds at a depth equal to two or three times their width. Make sure to spray twice daily to keep the ground moist (but not too wet).4. After 1 month, they grow between 2-3 inches tall. Keep spray water twice per day. Transplant them to bigger pots if planted in seed starter pots or plant them on ground after 2-3 months old. When temperature drops below 50F, plants should be covered frost blanket.
