Loosen soil prior to planting. Dig a hole in loosened soil as deep as the roots and about twice as wide. Be sure it is large enough to encompass the roots without bending them. Place in hole with the roots down and the crown/top of the roots about 1″ below soil surface. Keep any sprouting above the soil surface. Cover with soil and water well so that the soil above the bulbs settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater.
