Evergreen anywhere in zones 9-11. Will not take long to bloom from seed.Red Shower Germination:1) Aggressively rub the hard seed shell with rough sandpaper. Using a small knife, make a few shallow nicks into the hard shells. Not too deep.2) Soak the seeds overnight in a bowl of 120-degree Fahrenheit water. Keep the seeds that sink to the bottom and throw away the seeds that float.3) Use a heated propagator under the seed trays or containers to keep a constant temperature of 75-80 F+.4) Place a 3-inch depth of peat-based potting mix in a container that has drain holes in the bottom. Pour room-temperature water over the potting mix until it is moistened.5) Plant the cassia bush seeds 2 inches apart. Cover the seeds with soil to a depth equal to twice the seed diameter. 6) Place a piece of plastic over the container or place the whole container in a large plastic bag and seal it shut.7) Set the container in a bright area. Check the soil twice each week and moisten it with room-temperature water if the top of the soil begins to dry. Remove the plastic cover once seedlings are 2 inches tall.8) Patience is required as with any exotic or tropical seed, germination will be erratic. Expect germination anywhere between 14 to 90 days.
