Wait a few days before lifting the cardboard, then mist the planting area with a nozzle bottle. When soil temperatures are warm, Forget-me-nots will germinate in just a few days.HOW TO CARE FOR FORGET ME NOTS: Forget-me-nots enjoy plenty of moisture, but not saturated soil. Blue Wild Indigo (Baptisia australis) – 35 Seeds •Also known as Blue False Indigo •Heirloom •Non-GMO •American grown seeds •Perennial •USDA Zones: 3-9 Description: Known as False Indigo in the U.S., it grows well from flower seeds, and historically the plants were in high demand for the dye that was made from the blue and purple flowers. A shrub-like perennial, it is a member of the pea family and thrives in cooler climates. An upright plant, the flowers look like blue peas, followed by dark, glossy pea pods and a glossy leaf pattern. Also known as Wild Indigo or Blue False Indigo, this native plant needs at least six hours of direct sunlight per day. Planting Instructions: Since this plant does not transplant well, it should be direct sown. The seed will need to be scarified; to accomplish this, pour 150 degrees F water over the seed and let it soak overnight the day before planting. In late fall, plant 2-3 seeds per plant, 1/8″ deep, spaced 24-36″ apart. For spring planting, the scarified seed will need to be mixed with moist sand and stored in the refrigerator for 10 days before planting.
