Laburnum AnagyroidesAlso known as: The Golden Chain TreeThe Golden Chain tree originated in Europe and is named for its long, golden, pendulum-like flower clusters. This small member of the pea family thrives in almost any soil as long as it is well drained and in full sun or partial shade. It is hardy in climates that range from 5a to 11, but seems to do better in northern regions. Well suited for urban parks and gardens, the 8-inch flower clusters make particularly wonderful overhangs for paths and walkways. At maturity it will stand about 20-30 feet. Considered to be a small deciduous tree, shrub border or hedge, train for arbors, and pergolas. Good background plant! Its light green foliage is susceptible to sunburn during hot summer days and the flower buds will be damaged if caught by a late spring frost. This species is not to be confused with the Cassia Fistula which grows more in tropical regions. Its seeds germinate easily and it can also be propagated by layering or grafting. Care must be taken when applying fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides around Golden Chain Trees, as they are reported to be sensitive to a number of toxins. Ironically they themselves are highly toxic and can even cause fatality in humans if any part of the tree is ingested in a sizable quantity. This offer is for 20 seeds! We also offer this species in packs of 100 and 500 seeds in our store! For complete transparency we include payment processing & Ebay fees in our shipping/handling cost.*DISCLAIMER*NO RETURNS/REFUNDS/REPLACEMENTS ON SEEDSMost specialty seeds we offer are NOT fast to germinate. Many take several weeks, months, and some even up towards a year depending on dormancy, region, season etc. It is important that the buyer understands that seeds are perishable products and seed germination can be adversely affected by such factors as mold/fungus, bugs, temperature, moisture content, light intensity, dormancy, care, contamination of planting media among many other reasons. These factors are totally out of The Plant Attraction’s control and are the buyer’s responsibility and risk. Germination recommendations are sent with each order and the buyer is free to research and use their own methods. Floating seeds do not always indicate that the seed is not viable. Many times it is a misconception because the seed does not have the density to sink in water. Accordingly, The Plant Attraction does not guarantee seeds to perform properly regardless of conditions or buyer’s methods or mistakes. Since 2006 we have been doing our best to hand sort and provide the freshest, cleanest harvest that is free of defects and bugs.

Seeds that have been successfully pretreated will have swollen to around 3 times their previous size. Remove all swollen seeds as these will be damaged by further pretreatments. These can be sown immediately. This hot water treatment can be repeated up to 3 times, making the water a little hotter each time. Seeds that remain small need to be dried for further treatment.3) Plant seeds in pots or seed trays of good quality compost at a depth of about 1/2″ inch deep. The seed usually germinates in under 4 weeks at 70°F. It is important that temperatures or not greatly higher than this or germination will be reduced. “Please Contact us First if you Need Anything”
