These flowers were so often planted for beautification in along Florida’s roadsides that they were designated as Florida’s State Wildflower. Blooming from late spring to early summer, Lanceleaf Coreopsis attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies to their 1-2 inch-wide blooms from late spring to early summer. Coreopsis grow to a height of about 1 to 2 feet, making them an excellent choice for borders, wildflower gardens, and naturalized areas. Coreopsis can thrive even in poor soils and environments where the ground is rocky, gravelly, sandy, hot, and dry.
