* ~ * Siberian Wallflower (Erysimum Allionii) Seeds * ~ * 3,000+ Seeds Heirloom, Organic, Non-GMO, Untreated, Natural FREE SHIPPING when you buy 3+ (mix & match from any of my other listings as well to qualify) Siberian Wallflower (Erysimum Allionii or sometimes referred to as Cheiranthus Allionii) wildflower seeds grow into Cheerful deep orange apricot & yellow blooms that cover Siberian wallflower flowers starting in the spring, through early summer. Wallflower wildflowers are very easy to grow and combine well with lots of other flowers. Tulips are traditional bedmates, and a vibrant scheme can be had with hot colored orange or red tulips. A cooler effect can be created by planting with clouds of taller, blue forget-me-nots or try combining them with the colored spring foliage of herbaceous perennials. These can either be planted with the wallflowers in autumn, or the wallflowers can be inserted into more permanent herbaceous plantings. Imagine how good these wildflowers look among mounds of purple-leaved Heuchera Plum Pudding, Sedum pulchellum Purple Emperor or Salvia officials PurpurascensGrowing: Sow in late summer to early winter for spring flowering or late winter to early spring for autumn. They prefer temperatures of 70F & can flower in moderate heat. Plants require 70-80 days to flower from sowing and will start flowering when they are about 4″ tall. Start in pots or sow direct in mid August. Surface sow in pots with quality compost & cover with a fine thin layer of compost or vermiculite. The compost should be kept moist but not wet at all times. Seeds germinate in 7-10 days at 68F. Pick out each seedling as it becomes large enough to handle & transplant into 3″ pots. Gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting outside after risk of frost. Seeds may also be sown outdoors directly where they are to flower or in a reserve bed in a sheltered position. Thin to 6″ apart & transplant in October. Plants are usually disposed of after flowering, but they can be cut back hard for a flush of flowers later in summer or to produce shoots for cuttings taken in July. Deadheading prolongs their bloom, but let some of them go to seed. They are often generous self-sowers, or you can gather the seed and resow it yourself. Plant in rock gardens, large containers, beds, and borders. They are pleasant by paths and doorsteps. Wallflowers will bloom all winter in a cool room in sunlight. They make good cut flowers, too! Siberian Wallflower (Erysimum Allionii or Cheiranthus Allionii) flower seeds grow into cheerful deep orange apricot & yellow blooms. Fragrant and colorful, many varieties of wallflower plants exist. Some are native to areas of the United States. Most gardeners succeed at growing wallflowers in the garden. Wallflower plants brighten containers and are very easy to grow plus they combine well with lots of other flowers (see below for companion flower suggestions). How to Plant Wallflower Seeds: When growing wallflowers from seed, you can direct sow right into the garden or start them indoors. Plant wallflower seeds in spring or in autumn. Cover seeds lightly or simply press them into moist soil since seeds of wallflower need light to germinate. Keep moist but not too wet at all times until seeds sprout. Seeds germinate in 7-10 days at around 68F. Where to Plant Wallflowers: Grow wallflower plants in a sunny or partly shaded location in well-draining soil. Plant wallflowers in masses with summer flowering bulbs or include a few in containers planted with summer blooms. Wallflowers look great in rock gardens, large containers, beds, and borders. They are pleasant by paths and doorsteps and make good cut flowers, too! In the right conditions wallflower flower blooms can last all summer into fall. In the winter you can even bring them inside and Wallflowers will bloom all winter long – just keep them in a cool room with some sunlight. Wallflower Plant Care: Water the plants regularly until established, then water occasionally if there is no rainfall as they do not mind dry soil and are quite drought tolerant. Pinching back of spent blooms will keep them looking good all summer and deadheading encourages more flower blooms on the growing wallflower. Companion Flower Suggestions: Wallflowers combine well with lots of other flowers; tulips being traditional bed mates making for a vibrant scheme; especially with hot colored orange or red tulips. A cooler effect can be created by planting with clouds of taller, blue forget-me-nots or with the colored spring foliage of many other herbaceous perennials. These can either be planted with the wallflowers in autumn, or the wallflowers can be inserted into already existing more permanent herbaceous plantings. These wildflowers look amazing among mounds of purple-leaved Coral Bells, Dragon’s Blood Sedum or Purple Emperor Sedum or with Blue Salvia Flowers. Larger seeds will need to be buried. When you see the first signs of green, you have to remove the cover. Seeds need a lot of light. If you’re growing in a window, choose a south-facing exposure. Rotate the pots regularly to keep plants from leaning into the light.

2000 Siberian Wallflower Wildflower Seeds – Everwilde Farms Mylar Seed Packet
XL Mylar Packet – Siberian Wallflower SeedsGold Vault Mylar Zip Packet Botanists believe that the Siberian Wallflower, rather than coming from the European strain, originates from the Erysimum family of native American wallflowers. Presumably, this species acquired the name “Siberian” because of its excellent cold hardiness; it thrives in the damp, cool weather of coastal regions or higher altitudes. Its common name comes from the plant’s affinity for nooks and crannies in walls or cliffs. Records show that this plant once had many herbal and medical uses, as well as being used in perfume because of its fragrance. In the language of flowers, the wallflower also symbolizes disappointment in love. For best results, direct sow in the fall for germination in the spring. Since this seed needs light to germinate, sow it on the surface of the soil and compact it lightly. For spring planting, mix the seed with moist sand and store it in the refrigerator for 30 days before direct sowing on the surface of the soil. This seed can also be started indoors, sown on the surface of a flat; keep the soil lightly moist and at a temperature of 65-70 degrees until germination, which should occur within 10-15 days. Transplant the seedlings after the last spring frost. These seeds are non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms), and are also free from all Neonicotinoids. They are packaged in our superb Gold Mylar Mylar Zip Packaging, which gives the seeds the best storage possible, and allows you to reseal the bag for later use. The artwork and labels on the packet are loaded with information – many people comment that it is the most beautiful packet that they have ever seen. If you have never tried out our seeds before, this is your chance to experience something special!

The blooming English Wallflower attracts bees and butterflies, and frequent dead-heading may extend the 4-8 week bloom period even further.
