They also used the roots to help cure stomach aces, and a cure for a rattlesnake bite on sheep. The white prairie clover is a larval host plant for the Marine Blue, Reakirts Blue, Clouded Sulphur, Orange Sulphur, and Southern Dogface butterflies.
