It requires a lot of water, then let it completely dry out, then heavy water again off and on in pourous soil. Do let it dry between waterings so if its getting a little wilty, time to water. Trumpets grow beautifully in the ground and it grows perfectly in large pots so you can remove from too hot direct afternoon sun. Trumpets do prefer cooler weather and bloom more in fall. Plant in April and will begin growing around May. If no freeze or mild winter can bloom through continuously through to next year.
