I believe it’s Catawba (but it might Japanese Kyoho too). I should have more than 1 Catawba that I use as mother plant, but I found 1 only, so I believe it’s Catawba (my missing plant). grape, about 12-22″ tall.

Lagerstroemia indica is a tree in the Lythraceae family. A native of China and Korea. It can grow to 12 feet tall and 10 feet wide making a dome shape once mature. The flowers are bright purple from spring to summer. Grows best in rich, well-drained soils. It prefers full sun for the best results. The Catawba is considered one of the best flowering trees in zones 7-9. Germination Sow seeds 1/4″ deep and lightly cover. Keep moist in a bright spot. Do not cover and keep temperatures around 65-75F. Germination is in 7-30 days.
