Red Orach (Atriplex hortensis rubra) SEEDS

Red Orach is a mild tasting vegetable much like Swiss chard or red amaramth. The leaves are used raw in salads. It is also called ‘mountain spinich’ as they are used like spinich. They grow four to six feet tall and develop a red clump at the top when it flowers. They have male and female flowers on the same plant so they will seed. Sow seed in the garden in the spring by barely covering the seeds and keep moist until they germinate. If you let them seed you will have Orach every year. 50 seeds per pkg.
