Here I am offering seeds of Actaea racemosa Cimicifuga racemosa Atropurpurea Cimicifuga simplex, Bugbane, Snakeroot, or Fairy Candle. This upright perennial features dark black purple foliage and spiky fragrant flowers is a eye catching addition to the garden. Shade tolerant but the best and darkest color develop in full sun. The foliage engulfs the lower part of the plant while the flowering stems rise above with white blooming spikes that reach 4 to 5 feet. Bees and butterflies love this plant. For best results provide well-drained soil and regular watering during dry weather. It is tolerant of both sandy soils and clay conditions. There are no notable pest or disease problems, and it is resistant to slugs. USDA Zones 3 to 9.
