Pasilla Bajio Chilli – A Mild Heat & Slightly Sweet Flavored Pepper – 10 Seeds One of the beautiful chilli I have ever grown. The beautiful Pasilla Bajio chilli is slightly sweet, medium hot and rich-flavoured chilli pepper. They are green while young and turns to beautiful dark chocolate-brown when ripe. They are called “Chilaca” when fresh and used in sauce and also in salsa. But called “Pasilla” when they are grounded into a powder to make delicious mole sauces. They are high yield and a single chilli can grow up to 22cm!!! If you want to try medium hot chilli then I would recommend this. They have a beautiful spicy flavor but won’t burn you at all. This fleshy chilli can be eaten as raw, making salsa and can be used also in dried form in curry, sauce. They are one of the most used chili peppers in South America. Growing instructions: Best use seed raising mix from Bunnings or local nursery. Fill a small pot with seed raising mix and then sprinkle the seeds on the top of the soil. Cover them up with a thin (5 to 6mm) layer of soil (seed raising mix). Water them very lightly or keep moist and keep the pot indoor (may be next to the window if you do not have a green house) until they start germinating. Young seedling are very sensitive to harsh sun so make sure you are not burning them by putting/planting them under the full sun. Growing depends on where you are located. It’s much easier to grow in upper QLD than in VIC. So take care.
