‘Kentucky Wonder’ (65 days) (brown seeded) pole beans provides huge yields of straight and smooth 8-9 inch pods that are long and meaty, stringless when young, and great flavor. Use fresh for snap beans, or dry on vines for an excellent soup bean; excellent for freezing and canning. You can’t lose with this 1800s heirloom: introduced in Kentucky just prior to the Civil War, this classic variety has proven its excellence over many generations. It out-produces most other pole beans and adapts well in many climates with good production even in hot summers.
