25 Jimmy Nardello Pepper Seeds, Freshly harvested in Aug 2023 for 2024 season - open-pollinated grown without herbicides and pesticides. This is an heirloom pepper dating back to 1887 Italy. Jimmy Nardello Peppers are many people's favorite sweet peppers due to their sweet flavor and consistent producers. Sweetest flavor when red but can be used green to substitute for bell peppers, great for fried peppers, fajitas, or for pizza or pasta. Peppers start green and then ripen to red in a few days in the middle of summer. Plants will start next flush of peppers when picked, so you can get 3 or 4 harvests on one plant. Plants grow upright to about 30 inches, and don't bush out much- but benefits from staking or small cage as weight of peppers will bend stems. Grow in full/part sun, at least 8 hours of sun per day, 80-90 days to harvest. Germination rate 80% at 70-80 F in 10-14 days.
