Goldenberry is just such a rewarding edible to grow. You can train on a trellis or shape into bush form. In colder areas it dies back in the winter and comes back in the spring. The fruit is sweet sour and is fabulous for desserts or salads. This variety has a pineapple twist to it, so it is particularly tangy. Personally I love them with cheesecake !. This is a mediterranean plant so does very well with full sun or light shade and modest water. It is actually drought tolerant. The papery casings are fun to present for the recipients to peel and take out the fruit. Our plants go year round in our unheated greenhouse that goes to 30F in winter. You will receive 6 cuttings for rooting. We use light potting soil.
